Kris Berry

Kris Berry was born and raised in Curaçao, where her love for music was shaped by the island’s cultural richness and rhythmic soul. From gospel and hip-hop to Son Cubano and the timeless voice of Nina Simone, her musical roots run deep, and they echo in every note she sings.

After relocating to the Netherlands, Kris found her voice on stage with a New Orleans-style jazz band, marking the beginning of a career that would take her across Europe. Her 2012 debut album Marbles earned her the title of First NPO Radio 6 Soul & Jazz Talent, followed by the critically acclaimed Berry Street, and a Golden Award for her single Hold On.

She has shared the stage with international artists and even opened for Gregory Porter at the Royal Albert Hall – all while staying grounded in the rhythms of her Caribbean heritage.

Kris Berry’s music is a celebration of identity, growth, and creative freedom. Her latest project NOW: Namelessly Objectifying Wonder, created during her journey into motherhood, blends soulful soundscapes with deep introspection.

Whether she’s performing on the world’s biggest stages or returning home to Curaçao, Kris carries her island with her – in spirit, in sound, and in every story she tells.
