Tamara Nivillac

Born and raised on the island of Curaçao, Tamara Nivillac has always carried the sounds and soul of her heritage in her heart. Her journey to stardom began in 2003 when she won Curaçao’s most famous talent competition. This victory opened the doors to a career that would take her far beyond the shores of her island.

Since that breakthrough moment, Tamara has toured the world sharing her music and collaborating with incredible artists such as Maxi Priest, George McCrae, Alexia, Meta Dia, Izaline Calister and Shirma Rouse. She’s represented Curaçao at cultural exchanges in Cuba, Venezuela, Suriname, and Miami, spreading the island’s energy wherever she goes.

Tamara’s music is a beautiful fusion of soul and Afro-Caribbean rhythms, a sound that reflects both her roots and her evolution as an artist. Singing primarily in Papiamentu, her native tongue, she often weaves in English, creating a unique blend that speaks to the heart of her listeners. Each song is an ode to her cultural heritage and the island that has shaped her.

But Tamara’s talents go beyond music. Through her foundation, Stichting ReNEWd, she’s committed to giving back to her community in Rotterdam-Zuid, where she’s involved in several social initiatives. One of her outstanding projects is Sharing & Caring, an empowerment initiative that uplifts women and helps them find their voice.

Tamara Nivillac’s music and heart are a testament to the power of culture, community and the unbreakable bond she shares with her Curaçaoan roots. With every note she sings, she tells a story of love, identity and empowerment that resonates far beyond her island.
